Funko has unleashed two new Army of Darkness Funko Pop! figures featuring Ash Williams and his evil undead counterpart. Fans of the cult-classic 1992 film directed by Sam Raimi can now add 1880 Army of Darkness Ash with Boomstick Funko Pop! and 1881 Army of Darkness Evil Ash Funko Pop! to their collections.
Army of Darkness (1992) is the third installment in Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead franchise, blending horror, comedy, and fantasy. The film follows Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell), who is transported back to the Middle Ages after the events of Evil Dead II. Armed with his boomstick (shotgun) and chainsaw hand, Ash is reluctantly thrust into a battle against the Deadites, an army of undead minions raised by the Necronomicon.
To return home, Ash must retrieve the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, but his arrogance leads to the rise of Evil Ash, a twisted doppelgänger who commands the Deadite army. Facing betrayal, reluctant allies, and a massive battle, Ash must embrace his role as a hero to save the kingdom and find his way back to the present.
