GwenPool, real name Gwendolyn “Gwen” Poole, is the main protagonist in her own series called “The Unbelievable GwenPool“.
She first appeared in Howard the Duck Vol 6 #1 in 2015 and is the brainchild of Chris Bachalo, Jordan D. White, Heather Antos, and Christopher Hastings.
Gwenpool is a New Yorker, born in Brooklyn, and is the daughter of Ted and Martha Poole.
Gwen dropped out of high school as a teenager and started reading comic books to ignore her problems, fantasizing about becoming a superhero.

Gwen and her bother Teddy are transported to the prime universe by an unknown means. Now Gwen is in a universe where superheroes and supervillains exist. Gwen takes her chance and decides to not be a passive bystander. She goes to a costume tailor to have a costume made. One of GwenPool’s first missions is to steal a virus from the thief Black Cat and sell it to HYDRA.
To pay her way within the prime universe, GwenPool took on work as a mercenary.
One of Gwen’s early missions put her into conflict with M.O.D.O.K., Allene Green, and has even come into conflict with The Guardians Rocket Raccoon and Groot. Gwenpool would later join forces with Rocket and Groot, working together three would later work together to aid Captain Marvel.
GwenPool has no real superpowers as such apart from her vast experience reading comic books
