Exciting news for Jim Hawkins – Disney Treasure Planet fans as Jim Hawkins is being immortalized in Funko Pop Rides fashion. Treasure Planet was released back in 2002 and was inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s epic Treasure Island.

Treasure Island Planet follows Jim Hawkins adventures on board his space pirate ship doing what he does best searching for treasure. The film brings together Jim with a cyborg version of John Silver. The unlikely pairing become friends as they search for undiscovered treasure while battling villains also looking for hidden riches.

Disney’s 2002 Treasure Planet is a new adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island with a few tiny creative tweaks. This all-new version is set in space. Jim Hawkins is a boy who is very lost after he and his mother are abandoned by his father. Jim loves the escapism of pirate stories and just knows his time will come when he will discover the Treasure Planet one day.

When Jim aids an old pirate he is given a strange orb. This orb is a secret map to the undiscovered Treasure planet that holds the hidden treasure of legendary pirate Nathaniel Flint.

Jim and his astronomer friend Doppler hire a ship’s crew to travel to Treasure Planet. But the crew they hire turns out to be none other than Long John Silver and his pirate crew.
