“300” retells the story of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, a defining moment in Greek history.
The movie follows King Leonidas I of Sparta played by Gerard Butler and his small army of 300 elite warriors as they valiantly defend their homeland against the overwhelming Persian forces led by King Xerxes played by Rodrigo Santoro.
“300” is a story of valor, sacrifice, and the indomitable spirit of a few brave warriors against the might of an entire empire that explores themes of freedom, honor, and the relentless pursuit of one’s ideals.
