Thor is the son of Odin, an Asgardian prince and the God of Thunder, Lightning, and Storms.
His name is associated with these natural elements and is also related to the ancient Norse word Þunraz, which means thunder.
He is also a founding member of the Avengers and is tasked with defending Earth from threats.
In Marvel comics, fan-favorite Thor’s story arc begins when his father Odin banishes him to Earth to punish him for his reckless behavior and arrogance in a fatherly life lesson.
Odin strips Thor of all his powers and takes his hammer Mjölnir.
Thor is challenged to learn humility and the true value of humanity. He must learn the lessons presented to him before he regains his powers and his hammer Mjölnir.
Of course, Thor is able to complete the tasks set by Odin and regains his powers and Mjölnir.
His time on earth leads him to become one of the Earth’s mightiest heroes when he joins The Avengers.
Early Missions
His early missions are to defend Earth from attack from Loki, the god of mischief and his adopted brother, and the Chitauri invasion led by the titan Thanos.
Thor plays a pivotal role in the “Infinity War and “Endgame” movies.
In Avengers Endgame we see Thor struggling to accept that he was unable to stop Thanos. The resulting finger snap wipes out 50% of the earth’s population for which Thor blames himself.
As a result, we see Thor in a house turning to drink and junk food and a life of sofa lounging. Moreover, he becomes a gamer playing video games with Thor Ragnorok friend Korg.
He loses his muscular chiseled body and just becomes the stereotypical fat slob.
But together with the Avenger Thor manages to find himself again and ultimately triumph over Thanos.
His time with the Avengers sees him become King of Asgard after Odin’s death. However, he decides to relinquish the title of king of Asgard and passes it to Valkyrie.
He then joins up with the Guardians of the Galaxy for an eventful spell.

I am a big fan of Marvel movies and series and it seems was one of the few fans of the She-Hulk series so love the She-Hulk Pops. I am also a fan of the new Avengers: Hawkeye & Ant-Man Funko Pop Comic Cover – Avengers 1963 #223 Target Exclusive and Funk Special Edition and the Matt Murdock with Brick Funko Pop!
Away from Marvel, I am a big anime fan and so love the new Demon Slayer Pops, particularly the Demon Slayer – Enmu Funko Pop! who is a great Demon villain of the series, and the Demon Slayer – Final Selection Guides Funko Pop Kiriya and Kanata Ubuyashiki Glow-In-the-Dark (GITD) 2- Pack.
