Legends of Rock: Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan

Axl Rose was born William Bruce Rose Jr. on February 6, 1962, in Lafayette, Indiana and is best known as the dynamic lead vocalist of Guns N’ Roses which he co-founded in 1985.

Slash is the iconic lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses known for his distinct style and memorable riffs, particularly in songs like “Sweet Child o’ Mine” and “November Rain”

Slash joined Guns N’ Roses in 1985 and played a crucial role in their early success. After leaving the band in 1996, he formed Slash’s Snakepit and later co-founded Velvet Revolver.

Known for his top hat and curly hair, Slash reunited with Guns N’ Roses in 2016, delighting fans worldwide.

Duff McKagan, born Michael Andrew McKagan on February 5, 1964, in Seattle, Washington,  is the bassist for Guns N’ Roses. He also joined the band in 1985, contributing to their signature sound with his solid bass lines and backing vocals.

McKagan played on iconic albums such as Appetite for Destruction and Use Your Illusion I & II.

After leaving the band in 1997, he pursued various musical projects, including his band Loaded and playing alongside Slash with Velvet Revolver.
