The series picks up after Groot’s heroics at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1. where Groot saves the lives of the other Guardians, Star-Lord, Gamorra, and the rest of the gang at the cost of his own. But all is not lost as a cutting of Groot is planted in a pot.
