In the comics, Rocket Raccoon is a genetically engineered raccoon from the planet Halfworld. Guardians of Galaxy Vol 1 and 2 The Story So Far!
“Guardians of the Galaxy” (2014) follows a group of misfits who become unlikely heroes in a race to save the galaxy from a powerful villain named Ronan the Accuser.
Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, is a human who was abducted by aliens as a child and now leads the Guardians.
The team also includes Gamora, a green-skinned assassin; Drax, a vengeful warrior; Rocket, a genetically engineered raccoon; and Groot, a sentient tree-like creature.
Together, they must stop Ronan from using an ancient artifact called the Power Stone to destroy the planet Xandar.

Along the way, the Guardians encounter a host of colorful characters, including Yondu, the leader of the Ravagers (the group of space pirates who raised Quill); Nebula, Gamora’s sister and a loyal servant of Ronan; and the Collector, a collector of rare and valuable artifacts.
The Guardians also gain the help of Nova Corps, the intergalactic police force of Xandar.
In the end, the Guardians successfully stop Ronan and save Xandar, but not without sacrifice with Groot sacrificing himself to save his friends, but a cutting from his remains is taken and a new, smaller version of Groot is grown.
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2″ (2017) is the second volume of the movie franchise. The Guardians are hired by the Sovereign, a powerful race of beings, to protect their valuable batteries from a dangerous inter-dimensional monster.
However, when Rocket steals some of the batteries, the Sovereign turn against the Guardians and send a fleet of drones to kill them.
The team is saved by Ego, a celestial being who claims to be Peter Quill’s father and takes them to his planet.
While on Ego’s planet, the Guardians split up to investigate his true motives.
Meanwhile, Yondu and his Ravagers are hired by the Sovereign to capture the Guardians.
The team ultimately discovers that Ego has a dark secret and plans to use the Guardians to take over the universe.
In the final battle, the Guardians are able to defeat Ego with the help of Yondu, who sacrifices himself to save Peter Quill.
The movie ends with a touching funeral scene for Yondu, and the Guardians setting off for their next adventure.
Overall, the Guardians of the Galaxy movies are action-packed, hilarious, and heartwarming tales of unlikely heroes coming together to save the galaxy.
