While en route to Mount Sagiri, Tanjiro and Nezuko find themselves passing through a small rural town. As they journey, they stumble upon a temple illuminated by flickering lights. Tanjiro’s keen senses immediately detect the scent of blood in the air, leading him to investigate further.
To his horror, he discovers a demon feasting upon the lifeless bodies of two men. Reacting swiftly, Tanjiro unsheathes his hatchet, launching a courageous and heroic assault on the demon. But the demon’s regenerative powers prove to be very strong and quickly heal the wounds inflicted by Tanjiro. During all the chaos, Nezuko becomes distracted by the gruesome scene at hand, allowing the Temple Demon to momentarily overpower Tanjiro. As the Temple Demon gains the upper hand, Nezuko’s instincts kick in, and she rushes to help her brother. In an incredible display of pure strength, she propels a powerful kick, sending the demon’s head soaring through the air.
