This very cool Entertainment Earth Exclusive! is based on the Joker’s appearance in the 1966 classic Batman TV series with a Black Light twist. Batman’s arch nemesis comes with 2 action word bubble accessories, an exclusive card stand, and a display base with two battery-powered black lights. This exclusive figure also includes a highly collectable two-sided art card with colourful character photography on the front and a certificate of authenticity on the back.
The all-new Joker Batman Black Light Action Figure stands 6 inches tall and features deluxe packaging but with only 12 points of articulation, his posing options do seem a little limited.
Despite the limited pose-ability, this Black Light figure is sure to sell out fast with it’s very limited production run of just 6,300 pieces.
Unveiling the Glow: The Science Behind The Joker Black Light Action Figures
Black Light figures work by incorporating materials that are fluorescent or phosphorescent that when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light, commonly emitted by black light absorb the UV radiation and then re-emit it as visible light at a longer wavelength. This process causes the figure to appear to glow in the dark or emit bright colours under the black light. So in the case of the Joker Batman Black Light Action Figure his pink attire turns fluorescent purple and his yellow face and hands to neon green when the lights go down.
